Ballymaloe Festival of Food Workshops

Sunday

11:30am

Karen will be running a hands on introduction to Happy Tummy breads.

Participants will get hands on with some of Karens recipes and come away with an insight into gut friendly bread. Karen uses her secret weapon, Teff, as an ingredient in lots of her breads and she will give a fascinating insight into why teff is the smallest but most powerful grain in the world.

As a bread loving nation, Karen is here to teach us how to make this household staple a lot more effective in the management of our health. Throughout this workshop Karen will be explaining the science behind how bread nourishes each organ in the body and will be giving you ingredient adaptations based on the health condition you are managing. This is a hands-on workshop where you'll be making your own gut friendly flatbreads to take home with you alongside the recipe and science to further your gut health journey at home. Karen has been transforming people's lives around the world through her science and taste based approach to food preparation. This workshop has been designed to transform your health through our daily staple.
