Urban Aran is a contemporary Irish knitwear brand founded by me, Christine Murphy. My brand, Urban Aran aptly reflects my love of urban artistic landscapes through heritage knitting.

Our products are crafted from pure fine merino wool, certified cruelty-free and compliant with Animal Welfare and Responsible Wool Standards. All designs are meticulously developed in Ireland, ensuring transparency and integrity across sourcing and production. Through advanced 3D knit-to-shape technology, original hand-painted artworks are digitally engineered into fully fashioned, sculptural garments, eliminating cutting waste and significantly reducing material off-cuts. Buttons are made from 25% vegetable waste, selected for their superior sustainable credentials and unique organic texture.

We empower women to express their creative and stylish identity with confidence through the considered use of colour and knitting innovative design pieces made to last 10 years or more. Our wool is synthetic free; we do not use plastic in packaging or in the garment production process.  We also work in organic cotton sourced from responsible mills in Ireland and Europe. All of our packaging is fully recyclable.
