I am a visual artist and writer from East Clare, creating a series of original ink paintings, prints, booklets and calendars on eco friendly/ handmade paper. With a background in illustration and storytelling the works are inspired by a playful relationship with the wild, rugged and softly mysterious landscape of rural Ireland. Incorporating gentle tones of green, warm golds and black ink, and themes of lovehearts, spirals, flowers, dogs and insects, the artworks have a gentle, folksy character appealing to children and adults alike.
