Set within a 300-acre estate in East Cork, the farm at Ballymaloe House has been feeding the hotel's kitchen since 1964. Free-range hens supply our eggs, our pigs roam freely, and sheep graze the surrounding fields, while the walled garden yields the seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs that shape each day's menu.
Guests are welcome to wander the farm and meet the animals up close.
Ballymaloe was founded on simple principles: good food comes from healthy land, and the best ingredients are grown close to home. Our pigs are raised on beans and grain grown on the farm, and we protect biodiversity, wildlife and the natural landscape across the estate.
Whatever we don't grow ourselves comes from a trusted network of neighbouring farmers and producers.
