Laura O'Hagan was born and educated in Ireland, graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 1986. Her medium extends from clay sculpture to large scale mosaics, working mainly to commission and also as a conservator of mosaics and educator. O'Hagan's work is very expressive and conveys a sense of energy about her subject matter. She plays with contrasts and balance testing her materials strength and fragility. Afraid of neither scale nor fragmentation she uses colour, line and form to create an atmosphere within architectural spaces.
