At Bláithín, I create unique, tactile handmade gifts using the slow craft of punch needle embroidery. My work is inspired by nature, funny Irish sayings and folk art. From some yarn, fabric and a simple punch needle tool, I make a range of beautiful gifts that are fun, lovely to touch and just that little bit different. They are made loop by loop and are crafted using cotton yarn and fabric.

Bláithín pieces celebrate Irish nature, insects, funny Irish-isms and our language. Items include framed wall hangings that are finished with Irish-made wooden frames, embroidery hoop frames, and hanging decorations.

Alongside these textile pieces, I also create and print eco friendly greeting cards. Each designed and printed in Kildare. They are printed on "corn card" - a paper that is manufactured using the by products of corn cob production.
